As a mother of three children I kept busy and active, then as my children were leaving the nest and heading out to college, I taught kindergarten for several years, on the second floor of our church building. Keeping up with the little ones and walking up and down the stairs regularly kept me very active and fit.
Then in 2010 we moved Nebraska, my children were out on their own, I no longer walked up and down stairs many times a day. I started to go to the gym regularly, but I think for a combination of factors—I didn’t push myself to workout long enough or I didn’t know what was best—I begin to gain weight and lose fitness. I stumbled across an exercise show on PBS called Classical Stretch. I began to tune into the show regularly and follow along with Miranda. I soon saw and felt the results.
I was interested in teaching Essentrics. But after receiving the Level 1 Instructors materials, I thought never could I do that. Three years later, I decided to give it a try and now four more years later I have completed all four levels of Essentrics Instructor Training. WOW.
I have learned so much and am eager to help you in your fitness journey.
